Julia Beth is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and performing musician in the Bay Area. She has been playing piano and singing in vocal groups since the age of 5, and has picked up the instruments of tenor saxophone, guitar, bass, and ukulele along the way over the past 20 years. Julia Beth has worked extensively with children of various ages and learning styles within her work as a music therapist while utilizing an improvisational model of therapy, and has completed the level 1 training for DIR/Floortime, which is a motivation based-approach for helping children learn and grow. In addition to the musical story times that Julia Beth offers on a weekly basis at Charlie’s Corner, you can also find her rocking out with the Book Worms Band during special events at Charlie’s Corner, or singing and playing tenor saxophone in the local band “Ian Franklin and Infinite Frequency”. Julia Beth is also the founder of Little Cricket Music Company, which is an organization that provides musical entertainment for children’s parties and events, as well as music.
